I passed by this place on the bus and saw their banner for AYCE sushi so I had to come eventually. The restaurant is cozy and slightly cramped, with tables for 2 in the middle and tables for 4 on the sides. There's also bar seating at the front. The restaurant is really dark inside, made getting pictures of the food pretty hard. You order by filling out a form that has all the variety. Make sure to look at the number of pieces per unit, you don't to overorder since they charge extra for leftover sushi (they're not too strict, we had half a handroll left and they didn't charge extra). For the first round we got a bunch of nigiri and a couple specialty rolls. The nigiri was probably 80% rice but the fish quality was very good, and only the tuna had a slightly fishy taste. We saw the person beside us get handrolls so we ordered a bunch, and almost overordered since we ended up getting 9 total. After we gave them the sheet with our order the waitress came back and asked us if we were sure we wanted that many handrolls lol. I think the handrolls were better value, still a significant amount of rice but also a lot of fish. Overall a really good value place. I haven't seen many AYCE places in NYC, and $40 for this quality of fish is a deal.

Good service. Good fish quality. Cheap sake too. Solid overall all you can eat sushi experience. Some things they charge you a buck extra for, which is kind of annoying in an all you can eat. And no sashimi. But the quality is really solid and that makes it worth coming back to. Ambiance is fine. Nothing special at all. Kinda cold in there during the winter. I recommend it for an above average AYCES experience. As long as you don't mind having plenty of nigiri rather than sashimi.

I'm giving them 5 stars to counteract the reviewers who gave them 1 star. Workers are friendly and efficient. I got the AYCE ($30.95 + tax + tip). I'm very phobic toward AYCE because usually AYCE gets a mega bad rap for either low quality and giving a lot of rice to fill people up fast. Basically coming in, you should expect that it's a more quantity vs quality. The typical qualities are in for an AYCE on a budget: no sashimi, heavy rice on the nigiri and sushi, too much vinegar in the sushi rice, rice temperature is overcooked as the rice is crumbly. Out of all the nigiri I would say the salmon was the best out of what I ordered compared to yellowtail and tuna. It's not bad, but really is dependent on if you are looking for quality vs quantity. The only biggest issue is that people who eat here associate this with legit Japanese food and real Japanese food is 100 times way better due to quality and execution of the food.

Back again!!!! I can't seem to stay away from this AYCE gem. I said it once, and I will say it again. This is by far the best deal in New York. Every piece of sushi is super fresh and made to order. Just too bad i live not so close or would be here more often. Relax setting and staff is super attentive. Always service with a smile.
